Date 11th November 2016: Under the leadership of the Gorkha Territory Administration at Bhanu Bhawan Crossroad Darjeeling, 11 castes of Gorkhas (Rai, Bhujel, Magar, Sunuwar, Khas, Yakkha, Dewan, Newar, Gurung, Thami...) A small demonstration of the weapons wielded by Khan Pan, Purvaj was presented to Deputy Director General Tribal Affairs Vishu Maini and his team. On behalf of the Khambu family, Binita Rai (Secretary, Central Committee KKRSS) and Bandana Rai (Vice President, Central Committee AIKKRA) presented brief information about the history, tradition, and lifestyle of the Kirats in front of all the dignitaries present. Three sili dances were presented by Kirat Khambu Rai Cultural Institute Bagdogra and information about each sili dance was told by Bhaktiraj Rai (Bagdogra).
